ONLINE BOOKINGS

Any booking request submitted through our Website is considered a request only and does not constitute a confirmed booking.

Bookings are not confirmed until acknowledged and accepted by Ausmech or Fulcrum via phone, email, SMS, or other written communication.

We reserve the right to refuse, reschedule, or cancel booking requests where necessary.

QUOTES AND ESTIMATES

All quotations and estimates provided by Ausmech and Fulcrum are based on information available at the time of preparation.

Quotes:

  • Are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. 
  • May be subject to supplier price increases. 
  • May require amendment if additional faults or work are identified. 

Estimates are indicative only and are not fixed-price commitments.

Additional work identified during inspection, diagnosis, or repair may incur additional charges.

 

BOOKING CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING AND NO-SHOWS


Ausmech and Fulcrum reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any booking where it is reasonable to do so or where circumstances beyond our control prevent us from completing the work as scheduled.

Examples may include, but are not limited to:

  • Delays in receiving required parts or materials;
  • Supplier shortages or backorders;
  • Unexpected workshop equipment failures;
  • Staff illness or labour shortages;
  • Safety concerns;
  • Circumstances affecting the efficient operation of the workshop.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ausmech and Fulcrum will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the cancellation, postponement, or rescheduling of a booking.


Unless otherwise agreed by Ausmech and Fulcrum in writing:

  • Service and repair bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled by the customer with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.
  • Bookings involving special-order parts, custom fabrication, accessory installations, major modifications, GVM upgrades, suspension upgrades, trays, canopies, or other custom work may be subject to additional cancellation and deposit conditions.
  • Orders for special-order or non-stocked parts cannot be cancelled once those parts have been ordered from a supplier, except where approved by Ausmech and Fulcrum.


Where a customer cancels a booking with less than 24 hours' notice, fails to attend a scheduled booking, or fails to deliver the vehicle for a confirmed appointment, Ausmech and Fulcrum reserves the right to:

  • Retain all or part of any deposit paid;
  • Apply the deposit as a credit towards a future booking at its discretion;
  • Charge a reasonable cancellation or administration fee;
  • Require a deposit or prepayment for future bookings.

Any applicable fees will reflect the costs incurred by Ausmech and Fulcrum, including reserved workshop time, technician allocation, administration costs, and any other reasonable expenses associated with the booking.



Where parts, accessories, or products have been specifically ordered, manufactured, fabricated, painted, modified, or otherwise customised for a customer, cancellation may not be possible.

If Ausmech and Fulcrum is unable to cancel or return the order to its supplier, the customer remains liable for the full purchase price of those goods.

Where a supplier accepts cancellation but charges restocking fees, return freight, cancellation fees, or other charges, those costs may be passed on to the customer.


DEPOSITS

Ausmech and Fulcrum may require  25% deposits for:

  • Special-order parts 
  • Accessories 
  • Custom-built products 
  • Major repairs above the value of $4,000.00AUD
  • Sublet repairs

Deposits may be non-refundable where:

  • Parts have been ordered specially for a customer; 
  • Products have been manufactured, modified, or customised; 
  • Costs have already been incurred on the customer's behalf. 
  • Cancellation of a booking is made with less than 24 hours notice.


Deposit requirements will be advised before work commences. In the case of a cancellation, any retained deposit may at the sole discretion of Ausmech and Fulcrum be applied to future bookings. 


 

DISCOUNTS AND PAYMENT PLANS

Any advertised, promotional, loyalty, senior, defence, fleet, trade, or other discounted pricing is only available where payment is made in full using approved payment methods at the time of invoicing.

Discounts are not available where payment is made using third-party finance providers, payment plans, buy now pay later services, or similar arrangements, including but not limited to Afterpay, Zip Pay, Humm, Klarna, or any equivalent service.

Ausmech and Fulcrum reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any discount where a payment plan or finance option is selected.


CUSTOMER AUTHORISATION OF WORK

By approving a quote, estimate, booking, or repair, the customer authorises Ausmech and Fulcrum to:

  • Carry out the agreed work; 
  • Conduct necessary testing and inspections; 
  • Operate and road test the vehicle where required; 
  • Obtain replacement parts necessary to complete repairs. 

Where additional work is identified, Ausmech and Fulcrum will make reasonable attempts to obtain customer approval before proceeding.

Where urgent safety-related repairs are required and the customer cannot be contacted, Ausmech reserves the right to make the vehicle safe or suspend work until authorisation is received.

DIAGNOSTIC FEES

Diagnostic labour is chargeable regardless of whether repairs proceed.

Diagnostic fees cover technician time, testing procedures, specialist equipment usage, and reporting.

Where faults are intermittent or complex, additional diagnostic time may be required.

No guarantee can be provided that a fault will be identified within a specific timeframe.


 CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED PARTS

Ausmech and Fulcrum may, at its discretion, install customer-supplied parts.

Where customer-supplied parts are used:

  • No warranty is provided on the supplied parts. 
  • Labour associated with installation remains chargeable. 
  • Additional labour resulting from incorrect, defective, or incompatible parts will be charged to the customer. 
  • Any future failures attributable to customer-supplied components are excluded from warranty. 

Ausmech and Fulcrum reserves the right to refuse installation of customer-supplied parts.

WARRANTIES

Warranty coverage is subject to Australian Consumer Law.

Parts supplied by Ausmech and Fulcrum are generally covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Warranty claims:

  • Must be reported promptly. 
  • Must be returned to Ausmech or Fulcrum for inspection. 
  • Must not be repaired or altered by third parties without prior approval. 

Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear; 
  • Misuse or neglect; 
  • Off-road competition use; 
  • Accidental damage; 
  • Damage caused by unrelated vehicle faults; 
  • Customer-supplied parts. 

Labour warranty applies only to workmanship performed by Ausmech or Fulcrum.


VEHICLE STORAGE

Customers are expected to collect vehicles promptly upon notification that work has been completed.

Storage fees may apply where vehicles remain on-site more than 48 hours after notification unless alternative arrangements have been agreed.

Storage charges may be applied at the current workshop storage rate ($10 per day).


ABANDONED VEHICLES

Where a vehicle remains uncollected and the customer cannot be contacted despite reasonable attempts, Ausmech and Fulcrum reserves the right to take action in accordance with applicable Queensland legislation relating to abandoned vehicles and unpaid repair accounts.

Any costs associated with storage, recovery, disposal, or sale of the vehicle may be recovered from sale proceeds where permitted by law.


UNPAID INVOICES

Payment is due upon collection unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Ausmech and Fulcrum reserves the right to:

  • Retain possession of a vehicle until payment is received; 
  • Charge interest on overdue accounts where legally permitted; 
  • Engage debt recovery services; 
  • Recover legal costs and collection expenses incurred in recovering outstanding amounts. 


VEHICLE TESTING AND ROAD TESTS

Customers authorise Ausmech and Fulcrum employees to operate vehicles as necessary for:

  • Diagnosis; 
  • Repair verification; 
  • Road testing; 
  • Calibration procedures; 
  • Quality control inspections. 

Whilst all reasonable care is taken, customers acknowledge that mechanical testing and road use inherently involve risk.


PRODUCT INFORMATION

Products displayed on this Website may vary from actual products supplied.

Specifications, pricing, availability, colours, designs, and product features may change without notice.

THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

 SUMMARY

1. This promotion is conducted, and the prize is administered by Ballinger Family Trust No. 1 trading as Ausmech Offroad and Mechanical and Fulcrum Suspensions Ipswich ABN: 32 255 920 117, Unit 1, 104 Briggs Road, Raceview, Queensland 4305 Australia (“Promoter”).

2. This promotion is a game of chance. It is no extra charge to enter, only the cost of the booking and each eligible entry has an equal chance of winning.

3. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry to the promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


PARTICIPATION

1. Entries open from x date and close on the x date (“Promotion Period”).

2. To enter the promotion, an entrant must have booked their vehicle in for paid maintenance, repairs, servicing or upgrades conducted by the Promotor and elected to enter the prize draw by providing their name and phone number or email address during the Promotion Period while availability lasts.

3. “Bookings” excludes any works and/or inspections that are free of charge. Eg. Free suspension inspections as well as any purchases for parts only.

4. Entry to the promotion is not limited per person. Each booking during the promotional period is one entry. 

5. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, declare an entry to be invalid if that entry has not been submitted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or where the entrant has engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.


WINNER

1. An entrant is eligible to win the prize if they are 16 years old and over and a resident of Australia.

2. There will be three (3) winners. The winners will be randomly drawn x date with 3rd prize being drawn first, and then 2nd prize and finally 1st prize drawn last. 

3. The winners will be notified via email or telephone within five (5) working days of the draw and published on the Ausmech website as well as the businesses respective social media pages. 

4. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the winners and deliver the prizes. However, if the prize is not claimed by 31st of March 2024, it will be redrawn, and the winner of an unclaimed prize will be

notified via email.


PRIZE
